Page 1 of 2 1 2 World Finals will be part of Fort Worth's NCHA Futurity in 2009[Sep. 26, 2008] The National Cutting Horse Association hosts the 23-day extravaganza known as the Futurity in Fort Worth every year. It’s one of the biggest spectacles at the Will Rogers Coliseum every fall/winter, with big stars in the stands and sometimes on the arena floor...Turns out, it can get even bigger. After an executive committee meeting held Sept. 8-9, the NCHA has decided to integrate its World Finals into the Futurity beginning in 2009.

International registry aims to round up rodeo injuries[Aug. 23, 2007] In order to improve the health of those who participate in rodeos, physicians and health care personnel who provide care in this setting launched last month a registry to record the most devastating injuries that occur in this sport. Work is also underway to analyze some of the medical-related data that already exist and set up a conference to bring together those who work in this area.
Making it happen in Huntsville[Mar. 28, 2007] Though five-time world tie-down roping champion Joe Beaver is competing at a lucrative rodeo in Laughlin, Nev., this week, he'll also find time to ride in his hometown.
