
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (September 24, 2010) -
A three-way tie for first closed out a tough Round 1 at the Charlottesville Invitational brought to you locally by Troy-Bilt. Cody Nance, Brendon Clark, and Kody Lostroh each scored 87.5 points to split the round win. Nance rode Off the Hook (Davis Rodeo Ranch) and Clark stayed on Boone & Crockett (Box K Cattle), while Lostroh made the buzzer on Outa da Blue (Circle T Ranch & Rodeo).
Tying for fourth-through-sixth place were Midland, Ore., native Ned Cross, Australian Ben Jones and Pistol Robinson, from Burleson, Texas. Cross stayed on Riddle Me This (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve), Jones covered Uncle Carl (Chad Berger/Dan Herner), and Robinson rode Hou’s Ya Daddy (Jerome Davis/Ellis Hiatt Bucking Bulls). All three received 87 points for their efforts.
The third Final Five Showdown only saw two completed rides. Mike Lee won the bonus round with an 89.5-point ride on Bad Moon (Circle T Ranch & Rodeo), while McKennon Wimberly scored 84.25 points on Hot Blooded (Page & Teague Bucking Bulls). Lee received 289.5 bonus points in the round, and Wimberly notched an extra 264.25 points.

Ross Coleman suffered a concussion. He is not expected to compete before the BFTS event in Columbus, Ohio.
Travis Briscoe suffered a concussion. He is out for the rest of this weekend, and questionable for the BFTS event in Uncasville, Conn.
J.B. Mauney has an abdominal contusion, and is probable for Round 2 in Charlottesville.
McKennon Wimberly suffered a facial laceration. He will compete in Round 2.
Skeeter Kingsolver has a concussion, and is probable for Round 2.
Caleb Sanderson suffered a facial contusion and a concussion. He is probable for Saturday.
Wylie Petersen has a bruised knee, and is probable for Round 2 in Charlottesville.
