Texas takes Round 2!

St. Louis, Mo. (February 27, 2010) - The action continued in St. Louis for Round 2 of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Invitational with PBR superstar McKennon Wimberly (Cool, Texas) taking home his first ever round win. Wimberly topped the Round 2 leader board after a solid ride on Nasty Town (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Struve/Rosen), receiving a score of 88 points and $2,730. Wimberly now sits in second place in the overall event standings.

Oklahoma native Jody Newberry (Ada, Okla.) clinched second place in the round after staying on Flashpoint from Teague Bucking Bulls, LLC. His second ride of the weekend scored 87.50 points and $1,950.

Closing out the top five was a three-way tie between young gun Ned Cross (Midland, Ore.), fan favorite Ryan McConnel (Colgate, Okla.) and current #7 in the PBR World Standings, Shane Proctor (Mooresville, N.C.). Cross stayed on Another Husker (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Struve), McConnel did a victory dance after staying on Western Star (Colgate, Okla.), and Proctor made the buzzer on Billionaire (Bailey Rodeo Company). All three received 87.25 points for their rides.

The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Invitational will wrap up tomorrow as the top 40 bull riders in the world compete in Round 3 and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round to decide who will take home the coveted event title. Travis Briscoe has bruised ribs after a rough get-off in Round 2. He is questionable for Round 3.

J.B. Mauney has a sprained left elbow and is probably for Round 3 tomorrow.

Cody Ford has a bruised foot. He is probable for tomorrow.
