COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- ProRodeoLive will broadcast all 10 rounds of this year’s 50th anniversary Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Dec. 4-13 on a nationwide network of radio stations and on its newly launched Web site, www.ProRodeoLive.com.
As the official broadcast partner of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, a link to the network’s live coverage from Las Vegas, Nev., will also be available on the PRCA’s homepage at www.prorodeo.com.
Veteran PRCA rodeo announcer Steve Kenyon, of Pendleton, Ore., will anchor the broadcast team with commentary from ProRodeo Hall of Fame Bareback Rider Clint Corey and two-time World Champion Barrel Racer Kelly Kaminski. Derek Barton, a PRCA announcer and radio personality from Wheatland, Wyo., will interview each night’s WNFR go-round winners.
Kenyon has been a PRCA announcer since 1993, working more than 25 rodeos each year, including the Dodge Columbia River Circuit Finals Rodeo, presented by U.S. Smokeless Tobacco. He also produces Rodeo Profiles, a syndicated radio program covering the PRCA on a network of radio stations from Oregon to Texas.
“We’ll be making our broadcasts interactive,” Kenyon said. “Our listeners will get the first word on each night’s performance, will have a chance to hear the voices of the top talent in ProRodeo, and also win prizes during the broadcast.”
