PBR Announces 2009 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals Qualifiers[Oct. 21, 2009] NEW YORK, N.Y. (October 21, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) is proud to announce the top 40 riders who have qualified to compete at the 2009 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals. For the sixth time in its 16-year history, the PBR World Finals will span two consecutive weekends, Oct. 30-Nov. 1 and Nov. 5-8, and for the second year in a row, both weekends will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center on the UNLV campus. Cory Griebel Wins MWB Year-End Championship
The Bullriders Of America (BOA) held their finals on October 16 - 17, 2009 at the Tri State Rodeo Arena located in Fort Madison, Iowa. The top riders of the BOA competed in four rounds of competition on the top bulls provided by the stock contractors of the association. After two days of tough cometition it was Jimmy Twedt who took home the prized Year-End Championship and the Bob Berg buckle. Jimmy and Willy Ropp fought a hard battle all year long for this award. Willy did have the satisfaction of going home as the event champion winning the average by riding all four of his bulls for 344 points and $ 1,608.75 pay check plus his own Bob Berg buckle.
