Tonight however the feel around the building for the PBR fans was somewhat subdued. The majority of spectators I spoke to were no strangers to the rank pen that was involved in this round. These PBR fans are really keen on what the powerhouse lined up looked like. I'm telling you that most of these fans know the ins and outs of just about every bull that's been on Versus this year. A Preview to Round 2 of PBR World Finals[Nov. 1, 2008] As I arrived at the Thomas and Mack arena tonight, I couldn't help but reflect on the opening night from several of the fans from last night. I proceeded to the media room inside and found the daysheet with all the match-ups of the evening. An earlier press release from last night had stated by Cody Lambert, livestock director of the PBR that "the riders had there way with the bulls last night but tonight the bulls will have there way with the riders".
It's a record setting night in Las Vegas at the 15th anniversary of the PBR[Oct. 31, 2008] The monster mash was on at the Thomas and Mack n opening night of the PBR World Finals. If it wasn't the monster mash it could have been mistaken for the bull mash because it was a record for bulls being ridden at a PBR World Finals and at a Built Ford Tough Event. The venue has changed and for the first time in 15 years the Thomas and Mack, home to the UNLV Runnin Rebels decided to take the basketball floor up and host both weekends at the UNLV Campus. This is my 7th year covering the action from the arena floor for the Rodeo Attitude team and have I got a night to brag about. By J. W. Kinder, Pro Rodeo Announcer

Ford Trucks hauled 125 tons of dirt, 10 of the world's most fearless PBR riders, and 24 of the rankest bulls to the corner of 8th Avenue and West 33rd Street to put on an impromptu bull ride which kicked off Ford Trucks 2008 promotion. Twenty-two teams were formed, each providing $50,000 for the opportunity to win their share of the $1.1 million total competition purse through the 2008 season.
