There seems to be some confusion about the two events being held at the South Point Hotel and Casino on December 11th 2011 so we thought we would send an e-mail and try to explain.

The easy part is to tell you that both events are only for 2011 MDF bulls.

The Gold buckle event is for all 127 bulls that were created for the 2011 MDF whether it is in the Jaynes Gang Program or not(we have attached an entry form). The deadline to enter is October 15th and so far we have 12 bulls entered. It has a guaranteed first place prize of $20,000 and a GOLD! Belt buckle. With 13 or less entries we will pay one money. With 14-19 entries we will pay 2 places and with 20 or more entries we will pay 3 places. The winners will be determined simply on their score at the Gold Buckle event.

The Silver Buckle event is for 2011 MDF bulls that are in The Jaynes Gang program and the entry fee is $3,000. The reason it is for Jaynes Gang bulls only is it is a combination of the bulls scores Memorial Day weekend (Buck Day and BBQ score listed below) and the score at The Gold Buckle event. BULLS IN THE JAYNES GANG PROGRAM can enter both The Gold and Silver Buckle event and the bull will only buck once but his score will count for both jackpots. If we get 10 or less entries we will pay 2 places. If we get 10-14 we will pay three places and over 15 entries will pay four places.

We bucked all the bulls again last Sunday and you can see their scores below in the Today’s Score column. If this would have been their score at The Gold Buckle event we would have added it to their Buck Day score like we did below to get the combined score and you can see how they would have finished below. As you can see a bull with a 2.625 from Buck Day has a chance to come back and win in the Silver Buckle event, and keep in mind all these bulls will not do as good as it will be their first trip away from home. With 14 entries The Silver buckle will pay approx $10,000-$11,000 for 1st and $5,000-$6000 for 3rd place. Of course 2nd place would be somewhere in the middle.
