Fort Worth, Texas (June 20, 2009) ~ Current CBR Standings leader Jarrod Craig extended his lead with a win tonight at the Waggin’ Train Tuff Hedeman CBR Summer Chute Out in Lakeland Florida. Jarrod was the only rider of the event to cover two bulls.
Cole Echols was the long round winner on Alan Murphy’s bull Coffee Bean with a score of 89.5. Jarrod ended the same round with an 85 on Scott Burruss’ bull Shade. Jarrod drew another Scott Burruss bull, Baldy, for the final round and scored an 87 giving him a total of 172. With this win Jarrod will likely go in to the tour finale in Kansas City, October 30 and November 1, in the lead and will have a sure shot at the $100, 000 bonus and CBR Champion title.
The bulls dominated at this event not giving much opportunity for CBR riders to score. Scott Burruss had a big night with another of his bulls, Hootie, who was the bull of the event with a 47.5 score.
This was the first visit to Lakeland, Florida for the CBR and they were greeted on a warm summer night by a hugely enthusiastic crowd. When the event was over the crowd was treated to a live concert by Nashville recording artists, River County.
