Iowa Cowboy Bill Applegate seriously injured in horse accident

Bill Applegate was seriously injured in a horse accident and is currently in the Critical Care Unit at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Bill has not only been a long time competitor in Iowa rodeo, winning championships in both team roping and bull riding, but he has also been a leader in the sport. He is a charter member of the Iowa Rodeo Cowboy Association and has always been willing to assist other contestants both young and old in any way he could. Rodeo Attitude co-founder, Todd Crase said, “Bill has always been someone I admired. When I was in college rodeo he was very supportive. He was just a person you couldn’t help admiring.”
