The Extreme "caravan" visits Deshler, NE on its Five Day-Four Stops Journey![Aug. 8, 2009] he Extreme Bullriding Tour made its first visit to the Thayer County Fair on August 7. The fair which is located in Deshler, NE was the third stop for the tour during one of the busiest weeks of the tour. Many of the riders have been following along with the tour for the four stops in five days adding to the excitement at each stop as they reveal in the competition as well as the fellowship between riders and fans. Rodeo clown marks 50 years in the business[Aug. 8, 2009] Rick Young of Tickfaw, Louisiana started his rodeo career as a clown and bullfighter in 1959. His natural humor, speed and agility plus his dynamic personality propelled him to the top of his profession. In the early years, Rick was known as the 'Ragin Cajun'. Now at the age of 66, yet still very active as a clown and barrel man, Rick claims to be the 'Aging Cajun'. By Scott Welton
