BIG is the only way to express the PBR event unfolding in Oklahoma right now. Action started with the Express Open presented by York at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Two hundred and twentyfive riders competed in one of the largest bull riding events in the history of the sport. After three days of intense competition 10 men not only won money but advanced to the $1 million dollar U. S. Smokeless Tobacco Challenger Tour Championship presented by Dickies being held in the Ford Center in Oklahoma City.

As an added attraction several teams of bullfighters also competitng for their own championship buckle in the Daisy TwoBulls Protective Bullfighting contest. The winners of the competition were the Humps N Horns News team of Ryan Wilson (Kennewick, Wash.) and Jesse Tennent (Springfield, Ore.).

The event in Guthrie was also an ABBI Classic with competition extremely tough between the top young bulls in the industry today.

Special for Rodeo Attitude:
Rodeo Attitude's own "World Greatest Rodeo Fan", James Phillips attended the first round at the Ford Center as our special reporter. James will be meeting many of the celebrities all fans would love to have the opportunity to meet and then over the next few weeks sharing this experience with all the other fans around the world.

One of the most important people James wanted to talk with was J. W. Hart. James is sponsored by the distributors of the J. W. Hart DVD "Get Skills in Bull Riding" and he really wanted to get to talk to him more in person. Well, while he was waiting to receive his passes from the PBR staff who should be sitting in the same room waiting for his passes but J. W. Hart! Needless to say the wait was the first big highlight of James' day!

In a phone interview with James he described the night by explainling his excitement as "just full of goosebumps from the moment I walked into the arena". He went on to say "the bulls are unbelievable. If the quality of bulls stays like this all weekend the riders are going to have a real hard time." The special bounty bull was a ride James felt was extremely exciting. Austin Meir rode for a chance at $90,000 but was unable to cover the bull. Still James said it was very, very exciting! We will be hearing more from James and he will be giving weekly stories on the riders and personnel of the PBR starting next week.
