The Extreme Bullriding Tour made its first visit to the Thayer County Fair on August 7.  The fair which is located in Deshler, NE was the third stop for the tour during one of the busiest weeks of the tour.  Many of the riders have been following along with the tour for the four stops in five days adding to the excitement at each stop as they reveal in the competition as well as the fellowship between riders and fans.

The bulls were the clear victors for the night with only four men making the 8-second whistle in the long-go and none covering the short-go.  With lots of "close only counts in horseshoes" rides the fans got to watch lots of fast-action bull riding along with the extra attraction of Midwest Bullfighting. The highlight of the bullfighting was champion bullfighter, Lance McLlvean, who won the competition with a score of 84-points.

The outstanding bull selected as the Bull of the Event was Buck Cherry who put Dusty Green to the ground in the short-go.
