Ellensburg Rodeo sets the bar high
[Sep. 10, 2009] It’s not surprising but still noteworthy that all-around extraordinaire Trevor Brazile won another all-around here with $5,413 earned. Let’s not forget the fact that the rodeo paid out a few bucks shy of $304,000 over the course of four days, a record for the rodeo.

Horse stricken by rare disease
[Sep. 8, 2009] In May, Louie, a 16-year-old quarterhorse, was competing in barrel-racing events for his proud owners, David and Stacy Morrow, of Niota. Today, Louie is clinging to life as staffers at Countryside Veterinary Services in Louisville work to battle a disease that can cause a healthy horse to deteriorate within a matter of weeks.

High school world champ claims Nite Rodeo finals title
[Sep. 2, 2009] The 71st Cody Nite Rodeo ended Monday with the crowning of year-end and finals champions.

Buckles and more than $60,000 in prize money was given to 18 champions.

For Lovell High School senior JR Vezain, winning the three-day final bareback title capped a busy summer.
