COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – May 17, 2010 – Two members of the Pride group – three-time PRCA World Champion bareback rider Bobby Mote and 2010 RodeoHouston Bareback Riding Champion Ryan Gray – underwent surgery in Dallas, Texas, on April 27 and they video blogged about their pre and post surgery details. Beginning on Tuesday, May 18, their four part surgery episode will begin airing on www.RodeoUp.com, www.prorodeo.com, www.bobbymote.com and www.ryangrayrodeo.com. A new segment will be posted each day through the conclusion of the episode.
Mote had neck surgery to remove bone spurs in his spinal cord that was causing a pinching of the nerve making his left arm go numb. Gray had surgery on his right knee to repair some torn meniscus and remove the floating particles which was causing his knee to lock-up periodically.
The first video blog shows Gray visiting with Dr. Tandy Freeman the day before surgery talking about what they will do and what to expect following the surgery. The second clip is getting an update from Mote after his pre-op visit and then Gray prior to being wheeled off to surgery. The third installment shows Gray back in his room after surgery getting an update on how things went. Once Ryan is released he and his wife Lacy go over to visit Bobby following his surgery to get an update on how everything went with him. The fourth and final clip shows both of them back at the Gray residence in Petersburg, Texas, recovering from their respective surgeries.
