Horse Protection Act Amendment Co-Sponsored by Presidential Candidates
[Mar. 4, 2008] All of the top three candidates running for the Presidency of the United States are co-sponsors of S.311. What is S.311 you say? S.311 is a bill to amend the Horse Protection Act to prohibit the shipping, transporting, moving, delivering, receiving, possessing, purchasing, selling, or donation of horses and other equines to be slaughtered for human consumption, and for other purposes. RodeoHouston brings back bracket for 2008's richest regular-season rodeo
[Mar. 3, 2008] In the spirit of March Madness and the NCAA Basketball Championships, RodeoHouston’s bracket-style battle goes into full effect tonight, with the $1.3 million rodeo running through the culminating Shootout Round on March 22. The rodeo will bestow $50,000 checks ($27,500 per man in team roping) on its shootout champions for the second straight year, virtually assuring them of spots in the 50th Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. [Feb. 25, 2008] The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) announced the field of contestants who have qualified for the 2008 Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo (DNCFR) presented by U. S. Smokeless Tobacco on March 19-22, at the Holt Arena at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. The DNCFR is the crowning event of the PRCA’s 12 circuit system of regional competition.

Eight cowboys took center stage in front of the near capacity crowd competing in the revolutionary, ironmen of rodeo competition where cowboys ride in the three roughstock events in one night in a new match style competition.
