Pro Rodeo Stop in Strathmore, Alberta will become 3D episode of the Rush HD series “Hell on Hooves”
Toronto/Saskatoon – One of the most exciting events on the Pro Rodeo circuit will be brought home for television viewers like never before when a 3D crew sets up in Strathmore, Alberta on the weekend of July 29 to August 2.
The DJWoods Productions crew will set up two 3D units for the weekend’s Bull Riding event. The footage gathered there will become a full-length 3D episode for the Rush HD series “Hell on Hooves”, which is produced for Rush HD by Juxtapose Productions of Saskatoon.
Dennis Hrapchak, Juxtapose Productions executive producer for the series, says it’s going to be an exciting weekend from a television production standpoint. “This hasn’t been done before because 3D production is simply so new”, he says. “We’re pushing the limits of what can be done in 3D, because most people who watch 3D at home see pretty pictures without too much action. We’re about to change that!”.
John Panikkar, CEO of Rush HD, says doing rodeo in 3D is a natural for a network such as Rush HD. “Hell on Hooves is a terrific and popular series that will look even more fantastic in 3D. Bull Riding is exciting enough in 2D and of course when you see it live – but 3D is a way to make it real for viewers like they’ve never seen before.”
He adds “we intend to premiere the 3D episode of Hell on Hooves in November, along with several other programs in 3D on our suite of channels. So not only will there be 3D content on Rush HD, but also on Oasis HD, Treasure HD and Equator HD. We know our viewers are going to love it.”
