COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 23, 2008) – Fox Sports Net (FSN) is scheduled to begin televising the action from the 2008 Wrangler ProRodeo Tour and Ariat Playoffs the week of Sept. 1. The popular Ariat Playoffs format will continue in 2008 with three telecasts hosted by the Caldwell (Idaho) Night Rodeo. The first featuring the preliminary round action of the Ariat Playoffs - Caldwell Round, with the second telecast highlighting the semifinal round featuring the top eight in the two-head aggregate and the third telecast will highlight the final four competitors. A new episode will air weekly.

The Puyallup (Wash.) Fair and Rodeo will host four telecasts – the first two being preliminary round action with the final two shows featuring the Ariat Playoffs – Puyallup Round semifinals and the finals. The River City Roundup from Omaha, Neb., will host the first and second rounds in two different shows, the semifinals with the top eight and the finals with the top four.

The Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Championship will again be hosted by the Texas Stampede in Dallas, Texas, and it will be aired on both FSN and CBS. FSN will cover the first and second rounds as well as the semifinals, while CBS will highlight the semifinals and show the Finals in its entirety. The CBS telecast is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. ET, following the NFL on CBS. This is the second consecutive year for the telecast to be after the NFL games. The 2007 show had the largest viewership ever for a Wrangler ProRodeo Tour broadcast with over 2 million viewers. FSN will replay the CBS show as its final episode of the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour, which will coincide with the start of the 50th Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
