Green Hills Women Shelter Annual Benefit Bull Riding Trenton, MO was once again a great success.  The stands were full with fans enjoying top-notched bull riding while raising funds for a very worthy cause.  Riders from the Bullriders Of America provided the talent while Double S Bull Company, Sidney, IA provided the bulls.  In one round of competition followed by a short round of rank bulls it was Ty Redman who took home the championship.  Ty scored 169 points on two bulls for a nice check of $928.13.  Jimmy Twedt scored the season's first 90-point ride to thrill the crowd and giving him a second place finish of 169 on two and a payday of $706.13.

As part of the ceremonies during the event the Bullriders Of America announced that the Rookie of the Year Award would now be called the James Graber Memorial Award in honor of James Graber the rookie bull rider who was killed earlier this year in a tragic car crash following an event.

The BOA Girls made their debut at an Extreme Bullriding Tour event at Trenton as well.  Ashley Rinn, Dana Miller and Lisa Ellinghuysen are the BOA Girls and they will be attending numerous BOA events promoting the association, the sport and selling BOA t-shirts to raise funds for the year-end champion saddle and the finals champion saddle.  They kicked off their first Extreme Bullriding Tour event with a car wash at gold sponsor Trackside Bar and Grill located right in Trenton..  They washed 15 cars and one semi tractor, met with fans and signed autographs.  During  the event they were introduced in the arena, met with fans, sold BOA t-shirts and drew a large crowd to the autograph session following the event.

At each event a Bull of the Event is selected.  The bull that was selected for his outstanding performance was 22 Radar who  in the short go round.

Another highlight was the participation of four of the tours Gold Sponsors.  Present and helping sell t-shirts representing Presenting Sponsor Rodeo Attitude was LoriDee Meyers.  Joining her in t-shirt sales was Ann Walker whose husband Matt was working in the arena as part of the production crew.  Matt and Ann's company Walker Construction are Gold Sponsors.  Ryan Skillett of Skillett Construction, another Gold Sponsor, was also in the arena working on the production crew.  The fourth Gold Sponsor, Todd Groomes of Trackside Bar and Grill was present and working hard by providing the Beer Garden.  The Extreme Bullriding Tour is proud to have such hands-on corporate sponsors!

This was another great event and everyone is looking forward to not only a terrific 2009 Tour but to coming back to Trenton next year for more fun and excitement.
