Hits The Greens At Charlie Daniels’ Annual Golf Event
To Benefit Assistance Home
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 13, 2010)- Country music rising star, Matt Gary returned to his college stomping grounds, Tampa, Florida, for the second consecutive year to participate in the Charlie Daniels Celebrity Golf Classic on December 3, 2010. Alongside Charlie Daniels, and members of the Charlie Daniels Band, Little Texas, Confederate Railroad and the cast/crew of “The Deadliest Catch” (Discovery Channel), Gary golfed and gabbed with the fellow celebs.
In its twentieth year, the annual benefit event is hosted by country legend Charlie Daniels and raises funds for The Angelus. The Angelus, based in Hudson, Florida, is an assisted living facility for handicapped people.
“I was so excited to get back on that course and see friends I met through the tourney last year,” Gary states. “An added plus -- it’s always nice when ‘another day at work’ consists of being surrounded by music legends on a golf course!”
Gary and his independent 17 Music Entertainment label donated PING apparel to the celebrity golfers; one hundred and thirty-two golfers, 22 teams of 6, participated in the event.
Matt Gary is on the road promoting the release of his sophomore single (“I’m Just Sayin’”) which is on radio now. In November, Gary released his 6-Pack studio recording by the same name (produced by Frank Myers); both the single and the CD package are available via all major Internet outlets (iTunes, Rhapsody, etc.)
