RELEASES "WHIPPING POST" TO INTERNATIONAL AUDIENCES

Nashville, TN -- Susan Hickman gives an Allman Brothers' classic a country flavor with the release of "Whipping Post" to international audiences. The track was produced by veteran Doug Deforest (Todd Fritsch, Doug Spartz, Liz Talley), and members of the super-hot The Cuttin' Crew ( Tim Crouch-Acoustic Guitar/Fiddle; Mike Kennedy-Drums/Percussion; Robby Springfield-Electric & Steel Guitars; R.P. Harrell-Piano & B-3) complete the vibe.

Hickman, who cites Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood as influences, released "Whipping Post" to Texas audiences (via CD TEX) late last year, and the edgy track has generated numerous positive reviews:

"Whipping Post" is a smart choice as a single for Hickman as it shows off her sultry, smoky vocals that are reminiscent of sisters Shelby Lynne or Allison Moorer."

- Matt Bjorke, ROUGHSTOCK

"Fresh, modern country. I like it!" - Jacques Dufour, "Rockin' Boy Saloon" (France)

"Susan's vocals sound like a stronger and bluesyer kind of Gretchen Wilson. That's what I like!" - Johnny Da Piedade, Big Cactus Country Syndicated Show

Country music fans "across the pond" are already familiar with the Houston-based Hickman who has had four previous European singles, including her recent Top 5 international hit, "Sunday Paper." "Whipping Post" showcases the bluesy side of the sultry-voiced singer; the track is from her debut CD, SUSAN HICKMAN.

Details of a two-week European Tour will be released soon, and fans will enjoy her high-energy live performances.Stateside, she's already shared the stage with Tracy Byrd, Jo Dee Messina, Kevin Fowler, Steve Holy, The Lost Trailers, Phil Vassar and Gretchen Wilson.
