DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE EXPECTS TRAFFIC ADJUSTMENTS IN PREPARATION FOR 2009 CMA AWARDS

NASHVILLE - Downtown Nashville will be making a few traffic adjustments in preparation for "The 43rd Annual CMA Awards," airing on the ABC Television Network, Wednesday, Nov. 11 (7:00-10:00 PM/CT) from the Sommet Center in Nashville. Production set-up for the CMA Awards will require special traffic patterns.

Sunday, Nov. 8
Beginning at 6:00 AM/CT, Demonbreun will be closed between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue.

Wednesday, Nov. 11
Beginning at 10:00 AM/CT, Fifth Avenue South will be closed from Franklin Street to Broadway.
Also at 10:00 AM/CT, the closure of Demonbreun will expand from Fourth Avenue to Sixth Avenue.
Beginning at 3:30 PM/CT, additional road closures include: Clark Place between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue; Sixth Avenue between Broadway and Peabody Street; Franklin Street between Fourth Avenue and Sixth Avenue; and the Demonbreun closure will expand to include the blocks between Fourth Avenue and Seventh Avenue.

All roads will re-open no later than 2:00 AM/CT on Thursday, Nov. 12; except Demonbreun between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue, which will re-open at 6:00 PM/CT.

Tickets for the 2009 CMA Awards
can be purchased by logging on to www.ticketmaster.com; calling (800) 745-3000; or in person at the Sommet Center box office, 501 Broadway (corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway, in Nashville). Ticket prices begin at $110 for Upper Level. All ticket prices include sales tax, but exclude applicable service/handling fees.

"The 43rd Annual CMA Awards" is a production of the Country Music Association. Robert Deaton is the Executive Producer, Paul Miller is the Director, and David Wild is the writer. The special will be shot in high definition and broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound.
