Nashville, TN (October 5, 2009) -- Traceway Records' artist Mark Wayne Glasmire has been honored with two nods in the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards Nominating Ballot for BEST NEW ARTIST and SONG OF THE YEAR ("Everything Is Gonna Be Alright").

"It's pretty unbelievable," says the singer/songwriter from his Arlington, Texas home. "You work at your craft all of your life and then one day you wake up to good news like this. It's inspiring, for sure."

Glasmire is no stranger to winning. Since 2006, Mark has entered and won a slew of songwriting competitions, including: First Place Honors in: B. W. Stevenson Memorial Songwriting Competition (Dallas, TX), Dallas Songwriters Association Int'l Songwriting Competition (Dallas, TX) and GINA/LAWIM Songwriting Competition (Los Angeles, CA).
He's performed at legendary venues including; Folk City, The Speakeasy and The Bottom Line (New York); The Bluebird Cafe, Exit-In and Wildhorse Saloon (Nashville), and throughout Texas. Glasmire writes and sings with a depth of understanding that only a well-traveled troubadour can and he's built a loyal fan base nationwide.

Members of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences may vote for Glasmire (General Field: BEST NEW ARTIST #133 and SONG OF THE YEAR: "Everything Is Gonna Be Alright" #169) at www.grammy.com.
