Jody Booth's Debut Single, "Gold Digger," A Two-Steppin' Shout Out To "High-Maintenance Women" And "Fools"
"Country-As -Dirt" True Tale
Digitally- Delivered To Radio
Nashville, TN (November 2, 2009) -- Jody Booth's debut single, "Gold Digger," is a stutter-lickin', fiddle-riffin', country-as-dirt, two-steppin' tribute to "high-maintenance women" - and the "poor fools" who love them. "I see this scenario play out a lot in real life," says the Livingston, Texas singer/songwriter with a laugh. "And I'm sure it happens everywhere, not just in Texas!" The track will be digitally-delivered to radio programmers via CDTex, and can now be downloaded directly from www.cdtex.com and www.airplaydirect.com/jodybooth.
Booth releases his single in the wake of his first Texas Music Chart #1 as a songwriter, celebrating Roger Creager's hit, "I Love Being Lonesome" (Booth/Creager/Huff/Slaughter). Jody averages 15 shows a month, and has shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Tracy Lawrence, Jack Ingram and Creager.
"Gold Digger" was produced by veteran Doug Deforest (Todd Fritsch, Doug Spartz, Liz Talley), and members of The Cuttin' Crew (Tim Crouch-Acoustic Guitar; Mike Kennedy-Drums/Percussion; Robby Springfield-Electric & Steel Guitars; R.P. Harrell-Piano & B-3) joined Booth to create the feel-good track. The single is the first release from Jody's upcoming CD, HEAVEN and HELL.
