NASHVILLE, TN - New Hampshire based Capitol Productions Management has tapped the Thompson Entertainment Group to provide public relations and marketing support for up and coming country artist Jimmy Lehoux. "We sat down with Gary Crane (Capitol Productions Management) and Jimmy after his recent performance at the Waylon Jennings Family and Friends Reunion", says TEG head Chuck Thompson. "His show and his voice blew us away and we knew that it was a project that we wanted to be a part of."
Jimmy recently completed thirteen new tracks with producer Tom McBee. Jimmy describes the project saying, "For this record we wanted to stretch the limits of country music to create a very distinct but very traditional country sound. We wanted to find a blend of something really commercially viable, but still different enough to help the music stand out." Producer McBee relied on years of working closely with artists and with radio to help Jimmy capture the frenetic, explosive energy of his live shows and to mix it with ballads and narrative story songs that engage the heart as well as the mind.
The project, entitled Thirteen, is the latest stop in an odyssey that began for Jimmy at the age of three when he was singing along with his parent's radio. He has honed his talents performing across the country in packed clubs and on big stages sharing the bill with rock and country legends including Alabama, Charlie Daniels and Little Feat. Along the way, he has earned a reputation for his ferocious live shows that are the backdrop for his unique country vocal style.
After completing a series of meetings in Nashville, Jimmy returned to New England to resume his summer tour schedule.
