About Jamey Johnson
Jamey Johnson is known within the music industry for his penmanship, having written songs that have been recorded by Trace Adkins, George Jones, Joe Nichols, and is the co-writer of the CMA and ACM 2007 Song of the Year “Give It Away,” recorded by George Strait. But instead of sitting at home counting his royalty checks, Jamey Johnson recorded more than 40 songs during the past year and has become one of the most recognized new names on the Country music scene. Johnson was nominated for five Academy of Country Music awards in 2009, taking home the ACM Song of the Year honor for his self-penned single “In Color”. His current album That Lonesome Song was recently certified GOLD.
