It’s time to mark your calendars for the 2011 Comstock or Bust Festivals! Bill Kann owner of Up The Creek Productions producer of the Comstock Or Bust Festival Series announced the Country Music Festival will be held June 9th – 12th. This is the second weekend of June which is closer to the time the original festival was held and the earlier dates will not compete with fall fair dates and kids going back to school. Several top acts have already been confirmed for this festival and will be announced very soon!
Comstock Or Bust Rock Festival has been set for July 7-10 2011. "I‘ve been hammered with people wanting the rock festival back at Comstock and it’s gonna happen.” said Kann. As with the Country Festival acts are already being screened.
A big hit in the past was the August festival known as Godstock. Bill has been given the rights to this name for a Christian music festival to be held in August, 2011. Although the dates have not yet been set youth groups may want to start preparing for this festival as well.
“We started with country to reintroduce the festivals to Comstock and America. I already have major sponsors offering to help with all three events in 2011. We just had to prove ourselves and I believe we did. My first time out for a festival at Comstock let me experience the magic that can be found in no other place but Comstock. The perfect sound, the sun setting on the windmills, elbow room, the experience of people having the best time of their life was just awesome!”
Already in blueprint form is a brand new 100 unit permanent shower and rest room facility. The building will contain 60 shower stalls along with forty restrooms. There will also be washer and dryer units available. Plans are for footings to be in place by this fall. In addition to alleviate water pressure problems a new well and water tower will be erected The current shower house is scheduled to be converted to restrooms.
