Nashville, TN (March 3, 2010) -- Award-winning songwriter Mark Wayne Glasmire returns to Music City for an "In The Round" performance at The Bluebird Café (www.bluebirdcafe.com ) on Saturday, March 27 at 6:30pm with compadres Tirk Wilder, Lucas P. Gravell and Tom Guardino. Glasmire, who has shared stage with iconic folk artists Arlo Guthrie, Gordon Lightfoot, Tracy Chapman and Tom Paxton, enjoyed 10 years as a member of Music City's vibrant multi-genre music community from 1995 to 2005. Now residing in Arlington, Texas, Glasmire continues to bring his unique blend of folk/country and inspirational music to fans at festivals and intimate venues across the U.S. and Canada.


Since moving to Texas, Mark has entered (and won) a host of songwriting competitions. His awards include First Place Honors in: B. W. Stevenson Memorial Songwriting Competition, Dallas Songwriters Association Int'l Songwriting Competition (Dallas, TX) and GINA/LAWIM Songwriting Competition (Los Angeles, CA).
