Ashley Gearing : Out The Window

Ashley Gearing is flavor of the month for many Country radio stations, and it's easy to see why ... she's got one hell of a PR machine backing her!

On her new single, "Out The Window" - she sounds to me like a kind of Sara Evans clone. (Come to think of it, she kinda looks like Sara Evans used to too!)

Maybe I'm saying that because the song's about a young girl who leaves home (out the window) leaving a note to her folks saying she won't be back. She hits the interstate with her man and they cruise off to make babies in the sunset.

Hey, ain't that what happened in Sara Evans' hit, "Suds In The Bucket".

It would be wrong of me to suggest that Marv Green, Chris Lindsay, Hillary Lindsay and Aimee Mayo - who wrote this - had heard Evans' track and thought they could do it better. If they DID think that, they were wrong.

My View: Nice clone, nice song, surefire hit!
