David Nail : I'm About To Come Alive

Sheer unadulterated misery oozes out of David Nail's debut single, "I'm About To Come Alive".

This is a heartbreak waiting to happen as Nail listens to his girl telling a friend he's not what she thought he was.

Nail has a very nasal voice - perhaps a little too strident for this kind of song. By the end, I wished he'd quit whining and get on with his life.

I also found the song moving further away from Country and closer to pop as it went on, especially with the girly backing vocals on the incredibly fast fade off.

My View: More than a couple of listens and I'd be retuning my radio.
