Big & Rich are too "Loud" and not Country enough!

Big & Rich are two hugely talented guys who CAN write and sing some great Country music.
So why don't they do that all the time? Their latest album, "Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace" included a couple of wonderful Country songs on it. "Loud" is NOT one of them.
It brings to mind a few lines written by a dear friend of mine in a real Country song.
His song said:
"They had a band playing music in the park last night.
"The only entertainment was a helluva fight".
"They played loud but they couldn't play it dead".
He could have been writing about these guys and this song. "Loud" is a mess of mixed up rock music with a few sixties wah-wah guitar licks. It has NOTHING to do with Country music, despite the lyrics' claim to the contrary.
My View: Over-rated rubbish!
Big & Rich: "Loud".
Release date: January 11, 2008.
From the album "Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace". (Warner Bros. Nashville)
