I have a pet hate, and I'm gonna air it for the first time on RodeoAttitude.

I hate it when record labels push out "Greatest Hits" albums and add one, two or maybe three previously unreleased tracks.

OK: in these days of digital downloads, that's not really a huge problem, but for those of us who like to own actual CDs, it's a record label con.

It means we have to buy loads of songs we already have just so we can get those new songs.

That's what RCA Nashville did with Sara Evans' Greatest Hits. What made it worse was that it meant the gap to Evans' next album of all new material was extended.

I can tell you that Evans' fans were largely unimpressed if the chat rooms and messageboards were anything to go by.

Nonetheless, "Some Things Never Change" - one of the new tracks on that "Greatest Hits" collection - is a good song and I expect it to do well.

My View: Shame on you RCA!
