Keith Anderson : I Still Miss You

Sometimes I wonder where the next George Strait or Brad Paisley or Alan Jackson is coming from.

Who among the endless stream of talent show winners will have a lasting career; which of the many new artists I hear we'll still be talking about as a great singer in twenty years time.

One answer might be Keith Anderson. Check him out: he can sing Country - he has the voice, and the skill; he can write - real Country songs; he doesn't compromise - he sings songs which suit his style.

"I Still Miss You" is yet another great song: written by Anderson with Tim Nichols and Jason Sellars, it has good lyrics, a straightforward melody and no "clever" touches to wreck the effect.

And you know what's shameful: this will only have minor chart success, because it's "too Country" for what - these days - is laughingly called "Country Radio".

My View: If you haven't heard how good he is, get hold of his debut album - "Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll".

Release date
