Was a time when Jo Dee Messina was one of Country's finest but "I'm Done" suggests she's lost her direction, or she's headed down the crossover trail.
Her last album, "Delicious Surprise" was a huge disappointment and if this is a taste of her next one, I'm not holding my breathe. It's a shame: this woman has one of the finest voices in Country music.
In fact, when she does a "light" verse - where the backing gentles right off and you can hear her - she shows it on this track.
But the hefty orchestra, the rock guitars, the Motown lead riffs running behind the vocals make this old-fashioned funky pop music.
