Dolly Parton : Shinola

Oh Boy!  Is Dolly Parton looking for a sainthood, Billy Graham's pulpit or a big fat pay check to increase her already overinflated ---- fortune?

I have nothing against moralizing over what's right and wrong with the world, but coming from Dolly - it's all a bit rich.

And so is she, which is exactly my point. I'm not saying that she doesn't believe what she sings, or that she's insincere in her views.

I AM saying that it's all very carefully and cynically targeted to appeal to people's moral outrage about everything that's wrong with the world.  Pardon me for saying this, but it seems to me that what's wrong with this world is that a bunch of rich folks just keep getting richer while a bunch of poor folks just die from starvation or cold.

And this song will do nothing to right the world's wrong, but it will increased Dolly's over-inflated ego and over large (no see, I'm not crude) fortune!!

My View: Self indulgent rubbish.

What do YOU think?? Tell us here!
