John Michael Montgomery :
If You Ever Went Away

I don't know if it was a backlash of public opinion or sheer co-incidence, but this is the second single from JMM's new album in less than two months.

The first was a despicable, unfunny song about "Mad Cowboy Disease". (Read our review)

This is much, much better ... superb in fact.

Montgomery uses his vocal skills to the full with brilliant half-spoken lines here and there and powered choruses.

The guy could get back to the top again, but he needs to show more of this kind of stuff and steer clear of political and social dynamite!

My View: Phew: Common sense prevails!
