Mamas Don't Let Your Cowboys Grow Up To Be Babies:
Robin English

Let's put our cards on the table, shall we? Men are big and strong and tough and women are soft and sweet and emotional. Right?

NOT according to talented lady singer Robin English who, in a very brave move, has rewritten a Country classic. Check that title up there again and you'll notice she's transposed "Cowboys" and "Babies". The original song has them the other way around.

I say brave because doing a "funny" version of a classic is always dodgy territory. Cledus T. Judd has managed it consistently over the years. Few others have, though many have tried.

But on to the song: check this out, guys:

       "If he looks good in the saddle, but he's all hat, no cattle,
       "Ladies, just let him ride on;
       "Chances are, he's rotten cause nobody taught him,
       "What it really means for a man to be strong."

Now, all you softy cowgirls out there will KNOW Robin has it absolutely right, while all you rough, tough cowboys will say she's got a nerve!

Well, (sorry MEN) I agree with every word Ms English sings! (See the respectful way I address a superior being right there). See, I KNOW that women are the stronger sex, that God's a woman and that we owe you girls EVERYTHING!

There: groveling done. I'm off to chew some more steel girders!

My View: Talented lady, great song. Country radio won't DARE play it! It's run by MEN!!

What do YOU think?? Tell us here!
