I'm a modest guy: too respectful to ever shout from the rooftops "I TOLD YOU SO!!!"
But I did! Way back when the Eli Young Band put out their "Level" album, I shouted loud that When It Rains had the hallmarks of a chart hit.
And finally, it's out as a single.
It has the sound of a song you've known for years and years - and indeed, the band's loyal followers have been singing along to it at gigs for a long time now.
It's almost like a very good sixties pop song with just the right levels of political comment, life observations and feelings.
My View: Texas music will stay alive while these guys are around!
