KURTIS THE STOCK BOY AND BRENDA THE CHECKOUT GIRL
[Jan. 27, 2009]
One of our membrs sent this to me. It is such a positive story and true. It happened in Des Moines, Iowa. In a supermarket, Kurtis the stock boy, was busily working when a new voice came over the loud speaker asking for a carry out at register 4. Kurtis was almost finished, and wanted to get some fresh air, and decided to answer the call. As he approached the check-out stand a distant smile caught his eye, the new check-out girl was beautiful. She was an older woman (maybe 26, and he was only 22) and he fell in love.

Independence Day takes on new meaning
[Jul. 4, 2008] Each year people in the rodeo industry talk about Cowboy Christmas and sometimes in this industry the true meaning of the 4th of July or Independence Day sometimes gets lost in the flurry of activities. This year for all of us involved with both Rodeo Attitude and the Extreme Bullriding Tour the realities of Independence Day is hitting very close to home. By Cindy Meyers, Rodeo Attitude

The blind jockey and the horse that couldn’t see
[Jun. 24, 2008] Sometimes a higher force leads us to something that inspires us. While looking for stories on rodeo I came across this. With so many of us finding the track we are running these days full of "mud" so to speak I felt it a worthy read.

It's only a quarter.....
[Mar. 28, 2008] Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston , Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. By Cindy Meyers, CEO Rodeo Attitude
