It was no April Fools joke for the Ride Right, Inc. of Farmersville, TX when they discovered they had been burglarized. Ride Right specializes in the manufacturer of high quality protective vests and rodeo equipment. Many of the items stolen were one of a kind items that had been specially made for well known athletes in the bullriding and rodeo industry and were on display. It would be hard to put a value on these items but an estimate would start at over $20,000.

Officials believe because of the unique nature of the items they may show up on the popular auction eBay, Craig’s list; RodeoSales.com or at local rodeos,

Anyone with information regarding this or who may see the items may contact: Rex L. Thain, Jr., President, Ride Right, Inc, at (972)782-7008.

Here is a list of the items stolen:

PBR Embroidered Vest originally made for Chris Shivers

  • Saddle Tan Lambert Master
  • Pro vest that was autographed on the front by 45 of the top riders and had a large PBR sticker on the back
  • A black Med Tall PBR vest that was built for Beau Hill that had the following embroidery
    Front:
    Jack Daniel on shoulder
    PBR Logo
    Alpha Trade
    Built For Tough Logo
    Jack Daniels on chest
    Back:
    Alpha Trade on Yoke
    Barstow Patch
    Jack Daniels
    #16
  • The First Ride Right Vest worn at a PRCA final (by Scott Mendes) has a Comet Cleaners patch on front.
  • The first black leather vest made with a Ride Right logo (this vest has an older logo on the pocket, is single topstitched and only has one strap on each side instead of two.

Authorities would appreciate the spreading of the word on these items throughout the rodeo industry. With the growing popularity of the sport and its athletes memorabilia such as this has also increased in value.
