The long wait was now over and from the moment Homer left surgery he has shocked the doctors with how fast he has been recovering. On August 31st Homer left the hospital in Dallas to the outpatient facility, Twice Blessed. Homer will continue with rehaab and the doctors will continue to watch his progress. The normal stay in this facility is approximately 6 weeks. The neatest part of all of this is Homer walked out of the hospital with for the first time in years with nothing attached to him! Just a bandage where the pic line used to be!

The man who wrote "The Streets of Bakersfield" and who changed so many lives with "An Old Outlaw Comes Home" will soon be back walking the streets of Bakersfield with a new heart and a new out look on life thants to the love and kindness of so many people.
