The PBR sent out a press release today about Ty Murray. For all of Ty's fans and all his awards in so many associations I wanted to take a moment to add my two cents worth. One of the greatest pleasures in my life was to interview Mr. Murray. I remember staying up late at night to watch him compete at the NFR and cheering as he won each and everyone of his All-Around Cowboy titles. I was present at the PBR World Finals when he retired and am still at awe when we cross paths at PBR events. He deserves respect and I personally could not be happier to see him inducted into this Hall of Fame.

Other inductees include: Mel Hyland (Dutchess, Alberta, Canada), Alvin Nelson (Grassy Butte, N.D.), Vernon "Dude" Smith (Burkburnett, Texas), and Dan Taylor (Doole, Texas). Deceased inductees are George Elliott (1900-1981), Marie "Ma" Gibson (1894-1933), Carl Dossey (1918-1955), and Chris LeDoux (1948-2005).

Cotton Rosser, who I also have the deepest respect for, will receive the Ben Johnson Memorial Award. Cotton is already a member of the Hall of Fame. There are many cowboys, cowgirls, rodeo personnel and specialty acts that got their start at the Flying U Rodeo Company!

Rodeo Attitude expresses our congratulations to all.
