Teresa Thomas Farish is pleased to announce that Texas True has won Reader’s Choice for "Best of the West 2008", Home Furnishings Designer, a special edition of True West Magazine.
"We were first contacted by True West in September and learned of the contest," Teresa states. "We were immediately included in the Directory but upon submission of our designs, we were included in the Survey for "Best of the West." After contacting customers, friends, and acquaintances around the country via email and phone, who contacted their friends, and so on and on, to win the title is truly a triumph. The Survey began in July so to have such loyal supporters go online to vote in such large numbers in a short period of time really warms my heart," Teresa says. "I really appreciate their efforts and their enthusiasm for Texas True. And then to win ….. it’s fantastic!!!! To be included with the major artisans and the western retail entities in this prestigious magazine with this honor is quite a coup for our store in East Texas!!"
True West Magazine has been in existence since 1953 and is considered one of the most reliable sources in the Western Lifestyle. Texas True opened in 2001 and is the largest and the most unusual selection of genuine, all Texas made items to be found anywhere in the state or online: 5,000 times made-in-Texas.
"I’m always expanding my designs and having unique items made exclusively for the store," Teresa says. "In addition to my bunkbeds, beds, lamps, accessories, and bedding ensembles, I’ve branched out into one-of-a-kind upholstered pieces. Our first ones have gone to Utah and a customer in San Antonio. I now have several retail stores wanting to purchase my designs for their showrooms!"
"Best of the West" Sourcebook is now available in select bookstores and newsstands around the country, as well as to all the subscribers world-wide.
"I am so thrilled - this is just another step to becoming the destination that I want Texas True to be. I’m sure that it will bring even more customers to our Tyler showroom as well as to the website. Texas True’s e-commerce business has more than doubled in the last year.
