Los Angeles, CA --- Homer Joy is # 1 on the Independent Music Network's Country Charts this week. But he has been there before with his single "John Law, " a duet with the legendary Buck Owens. In fact, the popular song was # 1 for three weeks in a row before dropping to # 3 last week.
"I am not surprised it came back to # 1," stated IMN founder, Gary Hendrix. "Songs like 'John Law' do that and artist like Homer Joy do that. We at the Independent Music Network believe that it is all about the music and that good music finds its way to the fans and music loving people everywhere. Homer Joy is about the music."
More singles will be released in 2008 from Joy's CD Someday It'll be Country. In the meantime, Joy and his family are busy packing for their move to Bakersfield, California, the city Homer Joy made famous when he wrote "The Streets of Bakersfield." He will ring in the New Year at Trout's Blackboard Stages in Bakersfield December 31.
