Los Angeles, CA ---- Homer Joy was a big hit at the New Music Awards on Nov. 10 at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood when he took the stage as a presenter with his friend, singer Kim McAbee. Joy had the audience, most of whom were industry insiders, in the palm of his hand and left the stage with them wanting more of "The Streets of Bakersfield" man.

"Having Homer Joy as a presenter at this year's New Music Awards Show was a real honor for us," stated Larry Weir, producer of the show. "He a true professional and everyone loves Homer."

"I had fun," reported Joy backstage during the show. "It is always nice to be onstage with a pretty and talented lady like Kim McAbee."

In the meantime, Joy's current hit single, "John Law," a duet with the legendary Buck Owens who was also a close personal friend of Joy's, is sitting at #1 on the Independent Music Network's Country Charts for the third week in a row.
