2010 CBR Horizon Series Kicks Off October 24 in Carthage, Texas

Fort Worth, Texas (October 8, 2009) ~ The 2010 CBR Horizon Series will kick off it’s inaugural season this month, October 24, 2009 in Carthage, Texas. The CBR Horizon Series is spearheaded by legendary CBR founder and stock contractor Terry Williams. The series was designed to allow diverse local promoters the opportunity to host CBR sanctioned events. The CBR Horizon event earnings will count toward the CBR 2010 Tour Presented by Mahindra with prize money from both tours combined at the end of season that will determine the CBR World Champion.

The Horizon Series also gives young and new riders the chance to ride in CBR events and work their way into the televised tour with added benefits including more money and exposure.

“I see this series as a way to find the future stars of bull riding. I also know there are a lot of places who want the CBR to come to their town, but the televised tour might be a bit too big for them. This brings the CBR to more diverse cities and towns, reaching more fans and allowing more folks to see our product,” stated Williams.

Carthage, Texas is the first stop of the Horizon Series, which will span throughout 2010 including up to 50 events. The Horizon Series Finals, which features a $50,000 added purse will take place in Bossier City, Louisiana on August 21, 2010.
