Fort Worth, Texas (October 30, 2009) ~ As the dust settled on a cold Kansas City night- an enthusiastic crowd welcomed the CBR to town for The 2009 Carter Energy CBR Tour Finale presented by Mahindra Tractors. The American Royal hosted the CBR and night one was full of great spills and thrills. Casey Bowman the Lamesa, TX native received the high marked ride (90.5) on Heater the Benny Cude bull. Casey gained the opportunity on the Bounty Bull Cochise but was unable to ride him for 8 seconds.
In the standings, things became interesting. Jarrod Craig who has held the lead for some time, spun off his bull which gave the lead to Hugo Pedrero, who was sitting second coming in to the Tour Finale. Hugo rode Hard Times early in the evening for an 89. The points are doubled all weekend- which launched Hugo to the lead. The other two riders in the hunt for World Title Ardie Maier and John Jacobs both failed at their attempts to ride this evening.
