Iowa rodeo cowboy, Curtis Stark killed in car accident

On Tuesday, September 30th, that Curtis Stark, 21, Lovilia, Iowa, was killed at approximately 12:30 AM just 2 miles from his home. Curtis is the son of Doug and Cindy Stark and was very active in Iowa High School Rodeo. He had currently been competing in the Iowa Rodeo Cowboy Association (IRCA) and the United States Team Roping Championships (USTRC).(IRCA) and the United States Team Roping Championships (USTRC). We will release more information as it becomes available.

Usually we only ask for help for people in the indusry but as you all know Missouri is a big horse and rodeo state and a small town is rallying around a little boy who needs our help. Many in the area are from our industry and have asked your help...On Tuesday afternoon, September 16th, three-year-old, Colton Newman, Polo, Missouri, was severely injured in a lawn mowing accident. He lost one of his legs in the accident.

Long-time nationally recognized rodeo champion Tom Tescher passed away Wednesday night at the age of 82 in a nursing home in Wibaux, Mont.

Iowan's were singing "Rain, rain, go away!" as summer began in the Hawkeye state. Flood waters reeked havoc throughout the state. Today the final weekend of the summer has dawned on a gorgeous sunshiny day with only the lightest touch of a breeze. It is a day to enjoy and enjoy Iowans will. The Iowa Speedway in Newton is dedicating the weekend to raising money for flood victims with the "Race 2 Recovery 225 USAR Hooter's Pro Cup". Iowa born country entertainer, Rodeo Attitude is also based out of IOwa and is extremely proud to have member, Jason Brown, highlighting the pre-race show with his brand of country music that has grown his populairty from a core of Iowans to fans across the nation.

Days of '47 Rodeo: A tribute to longtime announcer McSpadden

What happened Monday night at the start of the Days of '47 Rodeo was what has happened for the past 47 years: Clem McSpadden and his Oklahoma drawl boomed throughout EnergySolutions Arena, which was a surefire way to let fans know they were about to experience a night of world-class rodeo action. There was also a video montage to go along with his speech.
