What is the Rodeo Attitude Program?
The simplest definition of the Rodeo Attitude Program is a networking consortium of individuals involved in the sport of rodeo and the preservation of our Western Heritage. It is designed to promote the sport of rodeo at all levels of competition. Not all athletes will compete in the PRCA, PBR, or IPRA, or one of the other major associations - the major leagues of rodeo. The majority will spend their rodeo careers in local and regional associations, the minor leagues. As in all sports, one level cannot survive without the other.
The Rodeo Attitude Program is designed to promote not only the rodeo associations and their members but also the host committees and their events. We work with the sponsors that help fund the sport and provide a service to the fans who love it. We also promote what we consider to be the very best side of rodeo, the Cowboy Ministries, Western Wishes, Friends of Rodeo, the various contestant relief funds and the use of sports medicine doctors at events.
The sport of rodeo and the country music industry grew out of our rich Western Heritage. This heritage made the American cowboy an icon in world history and helped make this country great. It is our goal to help with the preservation of this heritage.
How does the program work?
Rodeo Attitude is not an association. We are not a union and we do not consider ourselves an organization. We prefer the term program. Our members do pay yearly administrative fees. These fees are used to maintain the website and help pay other expenses incurred in managing the program. The main source of revenue for the program is obtained through advertising packages to corporate sponsors, service fees and merchandising. Rodeo Attitude, LLC is the corporate entity responsible for the business management of the program. Upon acceptance to the program and payment of yearly administrative fees members are entitled to the various benefits membership in the program allows.
The major tool used by the Program is the website, www.rodeoattitude.com. This site is designed to be a source of information for everyone involved in the sport and the western lifestyle no matter what their position. It is also where we are able to inform others as to who our members are and what services they offer to the industry.
The major role of the program is to serve as a networking tool within the industry. Members are encouraged to network within each other and to keep the officers and directors of the program informed of any information that would be of interest or could help others in the industry. The officers and directors are always available to answer questions or help located services for not only our members but from anyone interested in the sport and the western
lifestyle. |
