Missouri State Fair Public Campgrounds Opens Thursday
(SEDALIA, Mo.) – The Missouri State Fair 60-acre public campground opens at 9 a.m. Thursday. The camping facility is on Clarendon Road adjacent to the fairgrounds, which makes it especially convenient for families selecting the State Fair as a vacation destination.
“Camping can be an economical and enjoyable experience for fairgoers,” said Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe.
Wolfe said these campsites are offered on a first-come basis, at a rate of $20 per day per vehicle. The campground office is located at the north campground entrance and accepts cash, MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards.
More than 1,100 sites have electrical, water and sewer hook-ups, with more than 200 equipped with 50/30/20 amp outlets. Other amenities include three sewage-waste dump stations, restrooms, shower facilities and free Wi-Fi service, provided by I-Land Internet Services.
A pedestrian underpass and admission gate is located between the campground and the fairgrounds offering campers convenient, daily admission wristbands for use when crossing between the two grounds throughout the day.
