Cody Stephens
Keep him in your thoughts

On Monday October 19, 2009, Cody was admitted to KU Medical Center. Cody has relapsed and the AML Leukemia has returned. Cody will be in the hospital for 30 days, return home for 14 then be re-admitted to KU for 100 days at which point he will receive a bone marrow transplant. While the cancer return is bad news, the positive side is that there are 1000 bone marrow matches for Cody. A few things.... Cody and his family will be spending Christmas in the hospital this year. I am taking donations of gift cards to places like Wal-Mart, target, JCPenny etc so that I can take them to Toni at which time she will see that Cody and his sisters have gifts for Christmas. While I know that our economy is not the greatest, if you can even donate a gift card of $5, that will help. We need to keep everyone's spirits high. Let's not let this holiday season go by without helping out one of our rodeo families.

I will be sending updates on Cody as they become available from Toni. She and I will be talking a few times a week. Please remember that Cody can only have cards, balloons, phone calls, and stuffed animals.
